Additions to an Existing Dwelling, Newport

Brief

The project involved the design and construction of a new garage and interconnecting entry to the existing house, complete with underground store room. The creation of a turning circle within the existing driveway, complete with extensive soft and hard landscaping were also included within the scope of works.

  • Increased design flexibility for the foundation systems, and associated service relocations resulting in cost savings of $ 20,000 to the project cost
  • Savings in builders profit, estimated at $ 75,000
  • Surplus soil transported to a local construction site, resulting in a cost saving of $ 25,000 to the project cost

Outcome

The client was extremely satisfied with the aesthetics and functionality of the design.

The project was delivered to budget and on time, with no injuries to workmen or damage to the adjoining properties.
