Duplex Development, Balmain
Our client for this project was a developer with interior design expertise. The initial project brief included the demolition of an existing dwelling and the construction of a duplex development complete with underground parking. The internal features were of highest quality to attract potential buyers to the trendy suburb of Balmain.
Upon preparation of a detailed estimate of costs, MJ Wood Management identified that it was not feasible to provide underground parking within the proposed budget. As a consequence, MJ Wood Management managed the preparation of a revised design, resulting in the provision of off street parking at ground level whilst maintaining gross floor area and functionality within the living areas.
The project was an outstanding success for our client, with both units being sold well above the forecast revenue for the development.
